Description
In addition to dark chocolate, such as the award-winning Ping Tung 62 and 70%, Fu Wan also makes a number of beautiful bars with flavor additions in Taiwan. Like this 62% dark chocolate with white pepper and fleur de sel.
The inspiration for the makers came from the makers of a refreshing beer on a warm and humid summer night. Yes, the summer nights in Taiwan are slightly different than here in the Netherlands of course.
The taste … the white pepper is going to overwhelm you. In any case, white pepper is usually quite sharp, not so spicy but it is penetrating. And that is also true here. A taste that lingers. Certainly together with the salt. And all this nicely in combination with the chocolate, although you could also say that the pepper is rather dominant. But the cocoa also has a strong taste. So when testing again we see quite a nice balance. But that the pepper is strong in taste and lingers minutes later, yes that is a certainty.
Ingredients: cocoa, cane sugar, cocoa butter, white pepper, fleur de sel.
Allergy note of the makers: may contain traces of soy, nuts, peanut, milk, egg and wheat.
Awards: silver at the world final of the International Chocolate Awards
