Description
A white chocolate with a very Scottish inspiration….Cranachan! A dessert with cream, raspberries, honey and oatmeal, and… how could it be otherwise, whisky.
This white chocolate is nice and creamy in itself, and quite sweet of course. And sprinkled generously with pieces of raspberry and oats, and then there is honey. And then of course the proverbial icing on the cake, whisky. This one is from NC’Nean, a whiskey distillery on the west coast of Scotland (on the mainland on the ‘Sound of Mull, opposite the Isle of Mull) – who work with the motto ‘made by nature, not by rules’ – very committed to make something sustainable and certified organic.
Beautiful combination, and nice that the makers of Chocolate Tree make such a chocolate with local inspiration. The bean to bar chocolate makers have their chocolate workshop in Knowes Farm, a town in the middle of nowhere in Scotland, just above Edinburgh.
Ingredients: cocoa butter, sugar, milk powder (25%), raspberry, oats (gluten-free), honey, butter, nc’nean whisky.
Allergy note: contains milk, contains butter. May contain traces of all types of notes. The chocolates contain oats, but are gluten-free.
Biological. Cocoa at least 40%. The outer packaging is made of cardboard, the inner packaging is made of compostable material.
Keep cool and dry.
