Description
A little brother for ‘Gusta’. The chocolate makers at Coup de Chocolat in Antwerp have once again crafted a chocolate using Colombian cacao—previously from the Sierra Nevada region, and now from Tumaco in southern Colombia.
This 72% dark chocolate (cacao and cane sugar—nothing else) features a flavor profile described by the makers as follows:
Strong floral and fruity notes, ranging from citrus to dried fruit, with vanilla and coffee in the finish.
Fruity: Raisins
Nutty: Almond
Spicy/Aromatic: Vanilla and coffee
We certainly agree with this detailed flavor description; it offers a beautifully rich taste where dark notes blend with floral and fruity elements, without any single flavor overpowering the others—a lovely balance, we’d say!
Ingredients: 72% cacao, cane sugar.
A small bar (45 grams) that reflects its small-scale production and the dedication to flavor and fair trade. We don’t say that lightly—the cacao actually crosses the ocean by sailing ship!
Awards: Includes 2 stars at the Great Taste Awards and a bronze medal at the International Chocolate Awards World Final.
