Description
A dessert in the form of a chocolate bar – that is what Dandelion is aiming for with this bar. The tropical flavor notes of the cocoa from India also bring out the dark chocolatey notes to get there.
This chocolate is made with 70% cocoa – Anamalai from the state of Tamil Nadu in South India.
Description of the makers:
“We are delighted to present one of our chocolate bars of Asian origin. From Regal Plantations in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, producers Karthikeyan Palanisamy and Harish Kumar grow the cocoa we use in this bar, mixed with coconut and nutmeg trees. The plantation is frequented by tigers from the reserve next door and elephants who snack on the coconut trees at the expense of the cocoa plants.
If it’s available, try this bar side by side with our Anamalai, India chocolate bar, made in Kuramae, Japan by confectioner Mai. The Japanese bar is spicier with flavors of dried and tropical fruits. In contrast, Trevor, our chocolate maker in San Francisco, complements the tropical flavors of this crop, bringing out baked, chocolatey notes for a bar dessert experience.”
Taste note from the makers: we taste caramelized banana and chocolate crèmeux.
Ingredients: cocoa beans, cane sugar.
Content 56 grams. Allergen-free, made in a chocolate factory that does not process nuts, soy, milk, etc.
