Description
Fine creamy fruity creation from Dandelion. Pure, 2 ingredients (as always with Dandelion) so cocoa and sugar (no extra cocoa butter) and this time they have managed to make something beautiful with the Semuliki cocoa from Uganda.
Description from the makers:
In the town of Kasese, near the emblematic Semuliki forest in the rainy, tropical Rwrenzururu sub-region of Uganda, a registered social enterprise called Latitude Trade Company, Ltd. wet cocoa beans from more than 4500 small farmers. Latitude ferments each farmer’s harvest in boxes of local eucalyptus and then blends the beans from its many farms after fermentation and drying, creating a uniform, consistently excellent product.
Nate enjoys the distinctive natural fruitiness of Semuliki Forest cacao and roasts this batch to accentuate the tropical punch of the beans.
Tasting notes from the makers: cocoa fruit nectar, banana and cream cheese
In our opinion, a very nice balance of fruitiness, some dark notes of branding and a delicious creaminess. All in all, both powerful and subtle.
Ingredients: cocoa, sugar.
Allergy note from the makers: “All of our single-origin chocolate is made with only cocoa beans and sugar; no added cocoa butter, lecithin or vanilla. Our chocolate is free from soy, dairy, eggs and gluten and is made in a nut-free facility incorporated.”
