Description
This white chocolate bar by Fossa draws its flavors from a traditional Cantonese dessert: Xìng Rén Hú.
Xìng Rén Hú is also known as Chinese almond cream: a refined and delicate traditional dessert that was originally brought to Singapore by Teochew immigrants. It is made from apricot kernel, rice, sugar, and water. Together, these ingredients create a smooth, creamy soup/pudding (served warm) with a nutty and floral flavor. Despite its name, it is generally not made with almonds, but with apricot kernels that provide the marzipan-like aroma!
For this Fossa bar, apricot kernels have also been used. They are roasted and combined with ground jasmine rice to create a soft, creamy texture with a marzipan flavor. In addition, roughly chopped pieces of apricot kernel have been added for a pleasant crunch. Truly a bite of comfort food, with beautiful light flavors.
Ingredients: cocoa butter, apricot kernel, cane sugar, rice. Dairy-free, soy-free, wheat-free, gluten-free, vegan.
Allergy note: All Fossa bars are produced in a facility where nuts and milk are also processed, and may therefore contain traces of these.
