How better to celebrate our 10th anniversary at the Chocoladeverkopers than with chocolate. Well: with a chocolate specially made for and with us, with a unique taste, and inspiration from our bike trips. A chocolate with which we celebrate the adventure. The adventure of us as Chocoladeverkopers, the adventure of our bike trips, and certainly also: an adventurous taste.

And so we end up with this chocolate: a dark milk chocolate with Garlic Focaccia (!). Masterfully made by Fossa, the bean to bar chocolate makers from Singapore. And we can hardly believe it even though we have the chocolate here in front of us, made especially for our 10th anniversary.

When we started with an idea to celebrate our anniversary last year, we quickly took the plunge and wrote to Fossa. For us, they are like no other great, progressive and unique in how they know how to combine chocolate with beautiful flavor additions. Whether it’s about beautiful teas that we had partly never heard of (from Liu Bao via Drifting Snowflakes Jasmine to Duck Shit Dancong) to chocolates that find their inspiration in satay sauce (!), combinations with drinks (from Sakè to Bowmore whisky) and so much more.

That’s how we started discussing, and the idea quickly came to make it really adventurous. To explore the boundaries of what is possible. And to celebrate the adventurous in doing so. Discovering new exciting flavours – something we have experienced several times at Fossa, we have discovered flavours with them that we really did not know yet. But also the adventure that we enjoy so much every year (in principle twice), our cycling trips, in addition to the chocolate. That’s how we ended up with one of the tastiest things we have ever tasted on our cycling trips, the focaccia in a small bakery in Florence. That was the starting point, and so it happened: Fossa got to work with that moment of ours, that we were standing there in that bakery and tasting something that we found so incredibly delicious. And they managed to capture that moment amazingly well in chocolate.

You can experience for yourself how that tastes. We hope that you want to celebrate our anniversary with us, and that you want to take the plunge. Because let’s face it: this is of course a bar that you really have to put on your adventurous hat for. Open yourself up to it. Be amazed.
