Description
Fine single plantation chocolate – from don Alfonso’s cocoa farm in southern Nicaragua. 70% pure.
The makers Friis Holm says about it:
“This chocolate bar is made entirely with cocoa from the beautiful Alfonso Tapias plantation in El Castillo in southern Nicaragua – almost on the border with Costa Rica. A place of tranquility and ancient cocoa trees from before the world lost its collective spirit.”
Made without pesticides, only with love.
Taste note from the maker: A creamy, extremely balanced bar with a mild acidity that underlines the cocoa notes.
You should not take the named cocoa notes as if you have an enormous ‘cocoa taste’ – it is in fact very subtle and (indeed) in balance. In the smell we also think of a (tasty) chocolate roll. A fine balance that reminds us of the Chuno (triple turned) but actually also reminds us – it is again a real characteristic Friis Holm chocolate (with quite a bit of cocoa butter) – further perhaps light notes of coconut, grass. Maybe some notes of honey and coffee – but a silky smooth filter coffee, not the bitter stuff. In short, to taste everything. Worth discovering for yourself.
Ingredients: cocoa beans, sugar, cocoa butter.
Allergy note: may contain traces of milk. At least 70% cocoa.
Content 100 grams.
