The packaging contains 2 bars that are identical except for the roasting, one is roasted for a long time at a lower temperature, the other for a short time at a high temperature.

The great chocolate makers of Heinde & Verre from Rotterdam have also made something very special for our anniversary.

Heinde & Verre is known (and famous) for their chocolates, and certainly also for their approach to roasting cocoa, where they often apply a ‘multiroast’, or roast the cocoa in multiple ways and then combine them for a nice balance. In this bar they have done it slightly differently, so that you can taste the difference in roasting beautifully. They roasted the same cocoa (a fine cocoa from Colombia) in multiple ways for us, where we could both choose our favorite.

For example, there is a ‘Paul Roast’ and an ‘Emma Roast’, one roasted briefly at a higher temperature and the other longer at a lower temperature. Since the chocolates are otherwise completely identical, you can taste beautifully what difference the type of roasting makes to the taste.

Made with beautiful fruity cocoa from the Meta region in Colombia. From the cocoa farmers of Finca el Jardin comes a beautiful fruity cocoa, in which you can taste beautifully what difference it makes when you treat the cocoa differently in the oven, where the time and temperature are the two variables, and make a very clear difference.

When you taste these bars you will undoubtedly quickly have a favorite. Then it can be logical to quickly think: oh I like this one better, and this one not/less. But we would like to invite you not to stop tasting here. Take both bars again, and discover… what is that difference. What attracts me to this bar, and less to that one. Then it may well be that after a few times tasting your opinion about the bars is much more nuanced. And then you will not only discover what difference the roasting of the cocoa makes, but you will also be discovering and further developing the beauty of chocolate tasting.

Contents 70 grams. The package contains 2 individually wrapped bars of 35 grams.
