We know Marou from their delicious chocolates made from Vietnamese cocoa, but that was always pure. With different chocolates with cocoa from different Vietnamese regions.
But Marou wouldn’t be Marou if they didn’t slowly but surely continue to look at what other beautiful things they can make. In chocolate bars but also in local ‘Maison Marou’ places where they serve all kinds of delicacies to eat and drink. And they haven’t exactly been sitting still in terms of chocolates, so much so that they now also make a regular white chocolate. Or well, regular, it is a beautiful and special one, and it’s not that regular. And of course…made with cocoa butter from Vietnam, and vanilla from Vietnam. That goes without saying at Marou, but we would like to mention it.
How does that taste? Like a very tasty white chocolate, and yes, you can taste that it is real vanilla that they add, and that is something completely different from the vanilla aroma that you can find in your bar in the supermarkets.
For lovers of white chocolate, we think this is a bar that you really have to try, it’s that simple. That’s also because white chocolate is of course made from cocoa butter (and not cocoa mass) and it’s actually extra special that specific cocoa from a certain region or country is used. So a white chocolate made with specific cocoa butter from Vietnam, you really won’t just find that. And yes, cocoa butter also tastes absolutely different depending on origin and processing. You don’t taste that in a supermarket bar, because that is mediocre cocoa that is also deodorized by a chemical process. Anyway, yuck yuck, we’re not going to waste too many words on it, let’s just say taste the good/real stuff then you at least have something that has not been chemically processed, and a much more honest and genuine product, and also so much tastier.
The makers say further: “Our creation deserves the title of “World’s Most Authentic Vietnamese White Chocolate” and is made with the rarest premium vanilla from Ba Ria province and cocoa butter from six different regions in Vietnam.
