Description
A nice tin containing 200 grams of 100% cocoa powder.
This specific cocoa comes from Vietnam and is processed by Morin, a “bean-to-bar” chocolate maker based in Donzère, France. The cocoa is sourced from the Ben Tre region via Vietcacao—an organization also dedicated to the social reintegration of young people with disabilities in that area.
Naturally, it contains no additives and has not undergone alkalization (Dutch processing); it is pure, natural cocoa powder that retains its original, inherent flavors.
In addition to their Peruvian cocoa powder, it is wonderful that Morin offers this version made from Vietnamese cocoa, which features a spicier profile. It is also excellent for baking—this particular cocoa powder seems especially well-suited for cookies and cakes, and it is, of course, perfect for making hot chocolate.
An added bonus: it makes for a fascinating comparison with the cocoa powder from Marou, which is also sourced from Vietnamese cocoa.
As described by the maker, the flavor profile offers lovely acidity, spicy notes, and a pleasant mouthfeel.
Ingredients: cocoa powder (100%).
