Description
A true piece of chocolate art. The taste (and experience) of cola captured in a chocolate bar. To execute that beautifully, and also make it very tasty, we have to go to Domantas, the chocolate maker of Naive from Lithuania.
Now we are absolutely not cola drinkers ourselves, but tasting this bar was a small party because it is so beautiful to see what Naive has managed to make and how much it reminds you of cola, while of course it is not cola, you eat it after all. Including a light carbonic tingle, wonderful. And when tasting it again, the different elements also come to the fore, which, in our opinion, only makes you enjoy it even more, and have great respect (again) for the creativity and craftsmanship of this chocolate maker. A nice bar to try, with a pleasant cola aftertaste even when you have finished it (or a piece).
The maker says about it:
“Chocolate and cola are not an obvious combination; bringing their flavors together was not easy. We did it by first recreating Dr. John Pemberton’s original cola recipe from 1886 – not an easy task as it contains real cola nuts, three different types of cinnamon, and then orange blossom, coriander and other natural ingredients. And to make it even more complex, we wanted to mix it with our top quality dark chocolate without losing the tingling effect. A tricky recipe but in the end it works very well on your tongue. Iconic flavours yet surprisingly different!”
Ingredients: cocoa, caramelised cane sugar, cocoa butter, cola nut, lemon, cinnamon, mixed spices, lactose, malt extract, vanilla.
Allergen note from the maker: Contains lactose, malt. May contain traces of all types of nuts and peanuts.
Cocoa at least 65%. Contents 50 grams.
