Description
We are happy to offer the bean-to-bar chocolates from Huma, based in Quito, Ecuador. We met them at the Chocoa chocolate festival in Amsterdam and were impressed by the beautiful Ecuadorian cacao from various regions. In addition to a wonderful range of pure origin chocolates, they also produce several bars with local inclusions. From the Chapo chocolate—perhaps the ultimate example—to this coffee chocolate.
As we like to mention: yes, quite a lot of coffee is grown in Ecuador as well, including around Quito, the capital where these chocolate makers are based.
This is a chocolate with finely ground coffee blended into it—not overpowering. And with a 70% cacao content, it’s not too sweet but nicely dark, creating what we think is a beautiful harmony between coffee and chocolate. A great way to once again taste a piece of Ecuador.
Ingredients: cocoa mass, cane sugar, coffee.

Note: a small clarification—the best-before date is written in a confusing way; the third number sequence is the correct date: 13-01-2027.
