Description
In this case, we saved some beautiful chocolates we bought at London Chocolate at the Chocoa festival (in Amsterdam). We had already thought of a great use for some of this stock: the chocolate subscription box, to which we like to occasionally add something special (extra special). Judging by the feedback, it was very well received. We’ve set aside a few chocolate bars, including this one.
This chocolate is 90% cocoa—normally, this small-scale London chocolate maker makes 70% cocoa, but in this case, they chose to make it a bit purer (a great choice, in our opinion!).
And it’s made with the famous Porcelana cocoa from Venezuela (near Lake Maracaibo). Wonderfully smooth and flavorful, truly stunning, especially considering the percentage. But not bland or boring; there’s plenty to taste.
The maker describes the flavor notes as: a lingering aftertaste and subtle flavor changes with notes of lime zest, marmalade, and deeper notes of walnut, butter, and almond.
Ingredients: cocoa, cane sugar.
Allergy note: Made in a facility that also processes tree nuts and peanuts.
Contents: 62 grams.
