Pacari – Guayas 75%

Description

The latest addition to Pacari’s ‘single region’ range. Chocolates made entirely in Ecuador, and with these chocolates also with specific cocoa from the different regions. In this case from the Guayas region.

A nice accessible strip. Starts with a full chocolate scent, some roasted notes, maybe some coconut scent already. When melting you can taste the softness of cocoa butter (and the sunflower lecithin a bit) and in the taste we think the copy that we opened was similar to coconut, and that remained in the taste. Can of course always vary slightly per batch. Furthermore, a fairly mild taste with some light bitterness, a small slightly spicy / medicinal revival, also somewhat fruity – but above all a very soft melting which

Ingredients: cocoa, cane sugar, sunflower lecithin.

At least 75% cocoa. Biological (EC-BIO-141).

Made in Quito – Ecuador. Keep cool and dry.

Pacari, Paccari? Yes, the brand was 20 years old in 2022, so they decided to add a C to their name. It stands for community, conscience, creativity and so on. We believe. We find it rather strange, with that whole marketing story, and keep calling them Pacari, with one C. And continue to appreciate them for making excellent and quite affordable chocolates from Ecuador.
