Description
A delicious dark chocolate made with 72% Tanzanian cocoa, with tasting notes of cherries, citrus fruits, and coffee.
Kokoa Kamili is a cocoa cooperative located in the village of Mginbu, Tanzania, founded by Brian LoBue and Simran Bindra with the aim of improving the quality of Tanzanian cocoa and providing farmers with a better income. They achieve this by purchasing cocoa directly from local farmers (fresh and unfermented), then carefully fermenting and drying the beans in a controlled, central facility. This process improves the quality of the cocoa and makes it suitable for the specialty chocolate market, giving farmers access to a market where significantly higher prices are paid compared to bulk cocoa.
Palette de Bine’s chocolate maker Christine visited Kokoa Kamili in 2019, and these exceptional beans have been among their favourites ever since.
Ingredients: 72% cocoa beans, 28% organic cane sugar.
