A vegan ‘milk chocolate’ with almond milk. Very tasty – for all chocolate lovers in general and for those who prefer not to eat animals in particular.
Milk is also just an addition to cocoa, but one that is very popular. Pure is often associated with more powerful flavours, the association with bitter (which is often not justified!) is also strong for many people and if you think more about the essence of milk chocolate, you will arrive at a few properties: soft structure, often a bit sweeter. , and a slightly more muted taste experience. Of course milk also imparts a taste to the chocolate, which does not always match the cocoa, and can also differ greatly depending on the quality of the milk (and the processing).
Anyway, Original Beans already had a whole series of beautiful dark chocolates that show how diverse (and delicious) special cocoa can be. And two milk chocolates, very suitable for connoisseurs. But as far as we’re concerned, this bar is exactly what was missing. A chocolate that gives a nice balance of cocoa, and does justice to the cocoa bean, but is also suitable for lovers of milk chocolate. But then completely vegan.
Probably our favorite ‘milk substitute’ is almond. They do not give a strong aftertaste like soy (some people like it, but for many people soy in chocolate – unless in bonbons with some more extras for balance – is a difficult combination) – almond and some other nuts go much better together with the cocoa and the sugar and if it is done correctly you get a delicious ‘marriage’ and the result is a chocolate that has one enough flavor depth but is also very confectionary. And that is certainly the case here.
It is also a success thanks to the fine cocoa from the Esmeraldas region in Ecuador. Original Beans already made their popular milk chocolate with this, so now also this new classic as far as we’re concerned. Be sure to order it and let us know what you think. And since we were already allowed to taste during the production process, it was really nice to see how the final chocolate turned out.
