Pralus – Barre Infernale – Milk with hazelnuts

After the pistachio version and the pure almond version, we simply couldn’t resist adding this beautiful “devilish bar” to our collection.

This version of this delicious filled bar, with a milk chocolate shell and a praline and hazelnut filling.

Made with the equally famous Melissa milk chocolate from Pralus and with roasted hazelnuts from Piedmont—not only in the praline filling (ground and deliciously creamy together) but also with a few whole hazelnuts in the filling.

A true treat, and the Barre Infernale is definitely a classic. We first encountered it when we were just starting out as Chocolate Sellers (2014!) and were trying the entire Pralus range. While we were otherwise focused on beautiful dark chocolates in various varieties, it was extra special to come across these bars, with a praline filling, beautifully finished, a lovely shiny bar, and a large one too—something we hadn’t seen in that shape before. And then, of course, the taste… oh, how dangerously delicious, and we’d only really known chocolates with hazelnuts, which made us think… meh. Or things filled with nuts that you could barely get the nuts out of. Or combined with very mediocre chocolate, which made you think… well, what a waste. But then this. A bar that was devoured very quickly, even though we otherwise preferred dark chocolate.

A beautiful bar for milk chocolate lovers, hazelnut lovers, and anyone who wants to try (or give as a gift) such a “devilish creation.”

Ingredients: Praline (roasted hazelnuts (50%), sugar, roasted almonds, cocoa butter), Milk chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, milk powder, cocoa at least 45%), hazelnuts (13%)
