While supermarkets are full of all sorts of chocolate candy made from cocoa of unknown origin—especially when it comes to chocolate Santas, Santa Clauses, Christmas decorations, wreaths, etc.—we do things a little differently. Just as we always do, we choose special chocolate, from ethically sourced cocoa and from known sources.
The cocoa for this chocolate Santa comes from Togo, specifically from the Kekeli cooperative (Mount Agou). This cooperative, incidentally, is run by women. Furthermore, a very specific milk powder from Switzerland is used to optimize the flavor.
Flavor notes are described as: notes of cheesecake, nutmeg, and fudge—but above all, it’s a delicious, flavorful milk chocolate.
Pump Street Bakery makes the chocolate in Suffolk (they also bake bread and other treats there, hence the name).
For this Santa Claus, they’ve chosen milk chocolate with 44% cocoa. They make a chocolate from it. Not solid, but hollow, just like with such a figure, so you can bite off tasty chunks. That way, you certainly won’t feel sick to your stomach (60 grams). The chocolate Santa Claus comes in a beautiful box that’s 100% gift-worthy in itself, as shown in the image. With lovely watercolor-style drawings that will completely get you in the Christmas spirit.
