A very fine pure origin chocolate from Qantu from Peru with flavor notes described by the makers as caramel and orange blossom. We certainly call it tasty, floral, and even thought of kiwi for a moment. A beautiful chocolate to go on a tasting adventure with yourself!
While some of Qantu’s pure origins tend to go in the sour direction – which can be interesting and fun – we had the idea, especially when tasting this specific bar… this is a maker that we would really like to include in our range.
Opening the package and taking a quick sniff and we were already half convinced, and then you still have to get started. The taste – we would say certainly also floral, and taste notes in different directions, with kiwi also emerging strongly as an association for us. And then again floral notes that are difficult to place because how many flowers do we know in terms of taste, but as far as we are concerned it is a very nice taste experience!
The makers say: Like an ancient and mystical treasure, the Amazon forest has protected these unique cocoa beans for centuries. Finally discovered, their magical aromas of jasmine and orange blossom, combined with a light hint of lemongrass, will make you see and feel the intense sunset on Bagua, Peru… red, pink, orange, before giving way to a soft caramel finish that will delicately surprise your soul.
