Description
A dark milk chocolate with 65% cocoa and cardamom.
The cocoa comes from the Lachua region of Guatemala, and best of all – the cardamom comes from the same region of the people who grow the cocoa. Nice!
A wonderfully soft texture, the milk adds just that little bit of softness and creaminess without being overpowering – the cocoa remains beautiful to taste. And then that cardamom – the Chocolate Sellers are always fans of it. Just grind some cardamom and then smell it…heavenly. Well executed in a matching chocolate is also great, and that is certainly the case in this chocolate. The cardamom slowly starts to emerge in the taste and when we talk about taste we actually come to a feeling of what we get from it. A feeling of enjoyment, but also a feeling of peace and that everything is good. A piece of deliciously creamy chocolate with cardamom, and nothing else. A bit of meditation through the taste buds.
From the creator: “Ch’abil means “kind” or “good” in Q’eqchi Maya. In the lush, mountainous region of Alta Verapaz, Guatemala, you will find the indigenous Q’eqchi Maya farmers growing a beautiful cacao bean. Their heritage goes back thousands of years, back to the likely origins of chocolate in the ancient Mayan civilization, so they clearly have a bit of experience with cacao trees. This dark milk bar uses cardamom from the same region as the beans, with a bit of cacao nib crunch added for texture.”
