Description
Vanuatu is a country and an archipelago in Oceania, or in global terms, near Australia (although it’s still almost 2,000km away). And cocoa is grown there too.
The cocoa for this chocolate comes from Malekula, one of Vanuatu’s islands, and is grown in the town of Pinalum on the north side of the island. There, the cocoa is collected from several small cocoa farms and fermented and dried centrally. The name Ramage (pronounced Rah-mah-gee) means something like “we revived something everyone had given up on, and made it into something beautiful.”
Well, then leave it to Soma to turn that beautiful cocoa into beautiful chocolate. What a delicious bar! We often say this when asked about our own favorite chocolates—although we don’t do rankings, if we do name a few makers, Soma is almost always among them.
Flavor notes described by the makers: cream, malt, cocoa, coffee, tamarind, figs.
Ingredients: cocoa, cane sugar, cocoa butter.
Allergy note from the makers: May contain traces of peanuts, tree nuts, and milk. Contents: 65 grams.
