Spark of joy! Or rather, a spark of joy. Well, for that, you definitely need to go to Soma—at least in our opinion. Because they make so many fantastic, amazing, flavorful, delicious, and special chocolates.
This is another great example.
Spark of Joy is a milk chocolate, but not just any milk chocolate, but made with browned butter (beurre noisette), or butter that’s melted and lightly caramelized for a wonderful, slightly nutty flavor.
It also includes beautiful, large, thinly sliced roasted pears and gently roasted walnuts. These are scattered on the bar as chunks.
Rich, warming flavors—and also fantastic to pair with a deliciously smelly blue cheese. As Soma says: pair it with the smelliest blue cheese you can find, and it’s perfectly fine to spread it directly on this bar. Well, a lovely invitation—and good chocolate is always a wonderful way to end a festive meal—in addition to your regular dessert, why not create a small tasting platter? It doesn’t always have to be cheese—chocolate works perfectly well too—or, with this bar in mind, both—why not?

Just so you know: the bar is generously topped, but handmade, human-made, so always a little different. The picture shows three beautiful pear slices; the one in front of us has two, but with a bit more walnut. It’s more that you don’t think, hmm…
