Support cocoa farmers Jamaica & Sumatra
At the end of October, a hurricane raged across Jamaica, leaving a trail of destruction. Many cocoa farmers there were affected and lost part or all of their cocoa plantations. In recent weeks, severe flooding has ravaged parts of Sumatra, Indonesia, and other areas.
We want to raise donations together with you to help support this cause.
The proceeds will go to Pure Chocolate in Jamaica. They have been working directly with cocoa farmers on the ground for years and have set up a crowdfunding campaign to directly help cocoa farmers rebuild their plantations. In Sumatra, La Galigo Foundation will use the proceeds to provide direct emergency aid: clothing, shelter, and emergency relief.
To give you extra motivation to donate, we have two extra special chocolates available as a thank-you gift (while supplies last). One has been awarded gold by the Academy of Chocolate, and the other has even won the Golden Bean – the highest award.
How it works
- You choose whether you want a thank-you gift, which one, and how much you want to donate.
- You pay for the shipping (€3.50 in the Netherlands) and any chocolates you ordered.
- We’ll send you a link to donate within a few days.
- You’ll receive your chosen thank-you gift in your mailbox.
- Don’t want a thank-you gift, but still want to donate? That’s also possible.
We’ll keep you updated in our newsletter and on this page.
