For this year (2025), in addition to the Advent calendars they already make (which proved incredibly popular last year), Zotter also has a new version: Sweet Christmas.

The name is there for a reason – this set doesn’t contain strong dark chocolates, but instead, behind every panel, a new sweet discovery. Milk chocolates, fruit chocolates, white chocolates – everything and always different – ​​but all deliciously sweet.

Now, it’s a bit of a prejudice to say that children especially love sweets (we have a niece who absolutely loves dark chocolate), but this calendar, in terms of content and design, is really fun for children. But of course, it’s really just for those who prefer a sweeter treat and who don’t crave dark chocolate. And the design is so cheerful, it simply looks out of place anywhere—especially because (and you can’t see it well in the picture) it also has some gold details, which gives it a truly artistic look.

24 compartments, 24 different kinds of chocolate, all deliciously sweet—a wonderful journey of discovery through the sweeter side of everything Zotter can make. And as you might expect from these Austrian makers, all fair-trade and organic, too.

We won’t list exactly what’s inside here, because in our opinion, the journey of discovery is the most beautiful part of an Advent calendar. We’ll stick to the fact that it contains everything, from white chocolate to chocolates with fruit and nuts, various milk chocolates—plenty to discover—and not suitable if you mainly like dark chocolate (unless you want to try something different).

Because it contains all sorts of things, it’s not really suitable for people with allergies or sensitivities, not even vegans.
