Zotter turned this cocoa into not just one, but two fun and delicious chocolates. This version contains 82% cocoa—if you think that might be too intense (it isn’t really), there is also a 72% version. It’s also nice to order both and compare them.
Smooth in texture, creamy, slightly drying (tannins), and definitely nutty, with—given the percentage—some darker notes as well.

Genuine Maya cacao.”

Ik kreeg hiervan een gratis mini en die werd erg gewaardeerd. Ik hou wel van repen met origine cacao uit Belize (de 70 % van Fjak is echt geweldig!) De smaak van deze 82% reep was lang niet zo donker als ik verwacht had. Hij is best wel notig, praline klopt wel en zeker ook wat kruidig met een kaneel achtig aroma. Ik proefde er ook wel wat fruitigs in met toch iets zurigs in de nasmaak, maar dat word mooi gebalanceerd doordat de nasmaak ook fijn romig is. De bittere smaak die er een beetje in zit, ervaar ik vooral bij de eerste hap, maar niet in de nasmaak. Een laag suikergehalte lijkt ook bij deze reep prima te voldoen.
