Description
Always nice – a nice pure (80%) chocolate without frills. Made from fine cocoa from Colombia, where a lot of beautiful cocoa is grown, as far as we are concerned. This cocoa comes from a cooperative of small-scale cocoa farms run entirely by women. From the mountainous area on the north coast, which you should definitely look up to see some pictures for a good impression. That is often fun to do with origin chocolate, before you taste a bite of the bar. The mountainous area is called Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
Description from the makers: Long live Colombia! This dark single origin chocolate with a cocoa content of 80%, sweetened with 10% raw cane sugar and 10% muscovado sugar, shows a fascinating Trinitario and Criollo cocoa, grown by a small, women-run cooperative in the mountainous area of the Sierra Nevada de Sint Marta.
(the same cooperative of female cocoa farmers that Chocolatemakers uses to make their Puur Liefde chocolate, if we’re not mistaken)
