Zotter – Colombia Dark 80%

Description

Always nice — a good dark (80%) chocolate without any fuss. Made from fine cocoa from Colombia, where a lot of beautiful cocoa is grown, if you ask us. This cocoa comes from a cooperative of small-scale cocoa farms entirely run by women. It comes from the mountain region on the northern coast, which is definitely worth looking up to get a visual impression. That’s often a fun thing to do with origin chocolate anyway, before taking a bite of the bar. The mountain region is called Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.

Description from the makers: “Long live Colombia! This dark single origin chocolate with a cocoa content of 80%, sweetened with 10% raw cane sugar and 10% muscovado sugar, showcases a fascinating Trinitario and Criollo cocoa, grown by a small, women-run cooperative in the mountainous region of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.”

Flavor notes described by the makers: mild fructose, a hint of rum, molasses, and dried yellow fruit (apricots and pineapple)

Ingredients: cocoa mass, whole cane sugar, raw cane sugar, cocoa butter.

Allergen note: may contain traces of all types of nuts, peanuts, gluten, milk, sesame, and soy.
