A dark chocolate filled with mandarin marzipan and a caramel ganache with tonka beans.
From Zotter’s ‘Handscooped’ series, and as most people know, that means you can expect a filled chocolate — essentially a bonbon, but in the shape of a chocolate bar.
In this case it’s also completely vegan, which is a nice bonus for a filled bar like this. But above all, it’s about enjoying the exciting flavor combinations that Zotter manages to create time and again.
The makers say: “70% dark chocolate filled with mandarin marzipan and caramel ganache with tonka bean. A soft, vegan caramel layer made with a roasted white rice couverture. It also contains aromatic coconut, a hint of almond praline, some tingling Timut pepper, and those wonderfully fragrant tonka beans. Beneath that is a wafer-thin layer of dark chocolate on top of a fruity mandarin marzipan, and the whole is coated in dark chocolate with a cocoa content of 70%. 100% vegan!”
Ingredients: cocoa mass, raw cane sugar, marzipan (21%: almonds, sugar, invert sugar syrup), cocoa butter, mandarin concentrate (5%), rice drink powder (rice, sunflower oil, salt), coconut milk, invert sugar syrup, almonds, coconut crisps, starch syrup, coconut powder (coconut paste, coconut milk, coconut flour), caramel sugar (caramelised sugar, maltodextrin), salt, tonka bean powder (0.05%), whole cane sugar, turmeric, pepper, emulsifier: lecithin (sunflower), lemon powder (lemon juice concentrate, corn starch, sugar), vanilla powder, emulsifier: lecithin (soy), ginger powder.
