Zotter Gevuld – Skyr, Rabarber & Avocado

We say it often…Zotter is all about exciting, daring and unusual flavor combinations. In addition to the many ‘normal’ chocolates (milk, dark, white) in the ‘Labooko’ series, they also make the filled ‘Handscooped’ bars, in many classic flavors (from salted caramel to layers of praline and so on) but also with alcohol (from whiskey to gin) and then there are always a varying number of chocolates that go that little bit further. We can certainly include this one, because a filled milk chocolate with skyr rhubarb and avocado – no, we did not see that coming.

The makers say: A sublime rhubarb yellow under a creamy skyr layer made with the Icelandic version of sour milk yoghurt, enhanced with vanilla and a dash of lemon. At the bottom, a creamy avocado-milk chocolate mousse, a delicate, non-sweet contrast to the fruity, pillowy rhubarb skyr. Completely covered in delicious milk chocolate.

Ingredients: raw cane sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, whole milk powder, rhubarb juice concentrate (5%), skyr (4%: cream cheese lean), starch syrup, avocado (4%), lemon juice concentrate, milk, invert sugar syrup, skimmed milk powder, sour cherry juice concentrate, almonds, caramelized milk powder (skimmed milk powder, sugar), sweet whey powder, gelling agent: apple pectin, vanilla powder, whole cane sugar, salt, emulsifier: lecithin (soy), cinnamon, lemon powder (lemon juice concentrate, corn starch, sugar), cocoa rose petals (cocoa mass and cocoa butter): minimum 50 % in the milk chocolate
