A single-origin chocolate bar from the ‘Labooko’ series by Zotter. A wide range of chocolate bars, from white and milk to very dark.
As always with Zotter, organically and fair trade certified.
Georg Bernardini was very enthusiastic about it in his “chocolate bible”—we could even say extremely enthusiastic. Zotter gladly uses that enthusiasm in their marketing; Bernardini’s statement is even printed on the bar itself. We don’t find it entirely necessary, but anyway, here is what Zotter has to say about this chocolate:
“The best milk chocolate in the world” — that is the opinion of chocolate tester Georg Bernardini, who tested 2,700 products from 271 companies in 38 countries for his book The Chocolate Taster.
According to Bernardini “Zotter milk chocolate takes first place thanks to its harmony. Not too sweet, not too bitter, and melts beautifully. The chocolate is milky-creamy but also very chocolatey with a strong cocoa flavour. You can truly taste the cocoa from Nicaragua. A true masterpiece.”
We fully understand that they are proud of these wonderful words, but we still say: judge for yourself.
Ingredients
Cocoa mass from Nicaragua, cane sugar, whole milk powder, skimmed milk powder, cocoa butter, vanilla powder, salt.
The milk comes from ‘Bio vom Berg’, organic farmers from Tyrol.
Allergy note: may contain traces of all types of nuts, peanuts, gluten, sesame and soy.

Dat Georg Bernardini (die nu onder de naam Georgia Ramon chocolades maakt) ooit in z’n boek zei ‘de beste melkchocolade ter wereld’ dat staat er nog steeds op. De beste ter wereld..vind ik zelf zeker niet. Wel de favoriete chocolade van m’n moeder, en zo zijn er veel fans – met name wie een simpele maar lekkere melkchocolade wil zeer geschikt!
