Description
Fine oat milk (oat drink) chocolate from Zotter, where—as the name suggests—no cow’s milk is used, but oats are used to create a milk chocolate, fully plant-based. Handy if you have a milk allergy or sensitivity, or of course if you prefer a fully vegan lifestyle. We actually have quite a few other suitable chocolates in the range, so feel free to have a look around, but this is one of them—and a nice one to try, perhaps also to compare with chocolates that use coconut, soy, or nuts as substitutes. There are many possibilities. Of course, you can also just enjoy dark chocolate, which is still what we prefer ourselves. But for now and then, this is perfectly fine.
From the makers:
A vegan alternative to milk chocolate based on oats with a very chocolatey taste thanks to its 50% cocoa content. The advantage of using oats is that it is grown in Europe and perfectly adapted to the continental climate. Tastefully, the oats remain subtle and in the background, while developing a natural sweetness, underlined by raw cane sugar, a hint of cinnamon and real vanilla.
Flavor notes: hints of cream, banana, caramel and spiced cookies.
Ingredients: raw cane sugar, cocoa mass, cocoa butter, oat drink powder (19%: fermented oats), salt, vanilla powder, star anise, cinnamon, emulsifier: lecithin (soy).
Allergy note from the makers: contains oats, soy. May contain traces of all types of nuts, peanuts, milk and sesame.
