Description
Described by the makers as:
“A rarity: the small West African island is hardly known and yet it has a long and rich cocoa tradition. The small farmers of the CECAQ 11 cooperative grow a unique island cocoa that tastes very chocolaty and slightly fruity. An original chocolate with 75% cocoa content, surprisingly mild for a dark chocolate, with fruity-tropical notes and very smooth.
Fragrance flavors: fruity, dried apricot, baguette
Flavor aromas: very mild for a dark chocolate, red cherries, nice roasted aromas, good melting, baguette notes, sharpness in the aftertaste”
The taste description is certainly quite apt, although we don’t really call it mild because the as they describe it ‘sharpness in the aftertaste’ is certainly present – a sharp edge. The cherries, roasted aromas certainly come out as taste notes as far as we are concerned.
Ingredients: cocoa, cane sugar, cocoa butter.
75% cocoa. 70 grams. Allergy note: may contain traces of all types of nuts, peanuts, milk, sesame and soy.
