A beautiful creation by Auro, entirely made in the Philippines (tree to bar).
Vegan white chocolate – which is quite rare anyway – and then a version flavored with kalamansi (citrus fruit, a cross between kumquat and mandarin) and pieces of spiced biscuit. A surprising and delicious whole.
Auro has already conquered the hearts of the chocolate sellers with their pure origin chocolates – but they also make very nice, tasty and surprising chocolates in this ‘Taste the Tropics’ or ‘Filipino Fiesta’ series. And of course, like all their chocolates, made entirely in the Philippines and with cocoa from the Philippines.
Ingredients: cane sugar, cocoa butter, oat powder, spiced biscuits (wheat flour, vegetable oil, sugar syrup, sodium bicarbonate (raising agent), soy flour, salt, cinnamon), kalamansi extract, natural vanilla extract, sea salt.
Allergy note from the makers: contains oats, wheat and soy. May contain traces of nuts, peanuts, milk. Vegan friendly.
Content 60 grams. So not a huge chocolate bar – a very special one.

Heerlijke snoeperij. Ruikt al best sterk (zuur, vanille). Smaakt nog sterker: lekker zuur en fris door de kalamansi met een tikkeltje bittere nasmaak. De meest zure en frisse chocola die ik op heb. Op Zotters gevulde …. na, maar dat is dan ook ganache. Het lijkt erg op de vegan lemon cheesecake van Gu die ik laatst op had! Om het met dierlijke cheesecake te vergelijken is het voor mij te lang geleden, maar het heeft niks kazigs ofzo. De koekkruimmels zitten in kleine en grove korrels door de reep, een beetje ongelijk verdeeld. Het is best zoet, maar wel iets minder suikers dan in supermarkt chocola (36gr/100gr). Het zout proef ik niet echt.De verpakking is erg handig en om vrolijk van te worden. En ik vind het top dat het plantaardig is!
